Richard Perry, President and CEO of Security Networks LLC, has announced the acquisition of Kissimmee-based Marlin Central Monitoring for an undisclosed amount.
The acquisition will be transparent to both company's dealers and customers. Marlin Central Monitoring will remain an independent division and continue to provide the highest level of service for its dealers. The entire staff will remain on board under the Marlin trade name and remain in the current facility.
Perry, a long-time veteran of the industry with multi-faceted experience including monitoring, manufacturing, finance, acquisitions as well as commercial fire and systems integration, founded Security Networks in April 2000.
According to Perry, the acquisition of Marlin fits in with the company's goal of building a diversified, full-service, electronic security and life safety company, through acquisitions, organic growth and strategic alliances. Security Networks has quickly grown to become a dominant regional security company in both the residential and commercial security and fire alarm businesses, and currently serves more than 5,000 customers, with offices in West Palm Beach, Fla., and Charlotte, N.C. The company anticipates growth in excess of $2 million in recurring revenue within five years.
"Security Networks is executing a growth strategy that includes the acquisition of account bases and value added services and strategic partnerships with dealers," said Perry. "One of our objectives was to own a world class monitoring facility. That's where Marlin Central Monitoring fits in," Perry said.
Marlin Central Monitoring, a UL Listed central station and a subsidiary of The Marlin Group, LLC, is a fully automated redundant facility with all fiber optics, and several redundant backup utility companies. The central station specializes in leading-edge technology including Dealer/Subscriber Access, Two-Way Voice, Video Monitoring and Video Verification.
Barry Brannon, who served as president of Marlin Central Monitoring, will continue in senior management as vice president of business development and will be fully engaged in growing the business and providing support.
"Having the backing of someone in the industry such as Richard Perry adds credibility to Marlin, lets us take advantage of his extensive contacts and now allows us to take an active role in dealer growth by adding other value-added services," said Brannon.
To implement the strategy, Paul Anderson has joined the company. As vice president of core operations, Anderson will oversee the facility from an operations standpoint to ensure that Marlin continues to provide the best in leading-edge technology.
“We will continue to provide full support to Marlin dealers with a full range of new programs, including account purchase and financing,” Perry added.
